By accessing our website, submitting a rental inquiry, making a reservation or renting a chalet through CHALET HOLDINGS LTD., you agree to these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before making a reservation.

We may request additional information before confirming a rental.

A reservation becomes effective only after the applicable booking requirements have been completed and CHALET HOLDINGS LTD. has issued a booking confirmation.

5. Guest Information

The person making a reservation must provide accurate and complete information.

  • Number of guests
  • Rental dates
  • Other information reasonably required to manage the reservation

The person making the reservation is responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate.

False, incomplete or misleading information may result in cancellation of a reservation.

6. Minimum Age

The person making a reservation must be legally capable of entering into a rental agreement.

Where a minimum age requirement applies to a particular property, the applicable property-specific requirement will apply.

Additional identification or verification may be requested where reasonably necessary.

7. Occupancy

Guests must respect the maximum occupancy specified for the chalet.

The number of people staying at the property must not exceed the permitted occupancy without prior written authorization.

Unauthorized additional guests may constitute a violation of the rental agreement.

8. Rental Rates and Additional Charges

Rental rates are displayed or communicated according to the applicable property and rental period.

Depending on the accommodation, additional charges may apply, including where applicable:

  • Cleaning fees

  • Pet fees
  • Security deposits
  • Taxes
  • Optional services
  • Damage or replacement costs

The total applicable amount will be communicated or displayed before the reservation is finalized whenever reasonably possible.

9. Payments

Payment requirements may vary depending on the property and reservation.

Reservations may be cancelled if required payments are not received within the specified timeframe.

10. Security Deposit

Certain chalet rentals may require a refundable security deposit.

The deposit may be used to cover eligible costs resulting from:

  • Damage to the property
  • Damage to furniture or equipment
  • Missing items

  • Other costs for which the guest is responsible under the applicable rental agreement

Any remaining refundable amount will be returned in accordance with the applicable rental conditions.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation terms may vary depending on the chalet, rental period and booking conditions.

The cancellation policy applicable to a reservation will be communicated before or at the time the booking is confirmed.

Depending on the applicable policy, cancellation may result in:

  • A full refund
  • A partial refund
  • Loss of a deposit
  • No refund

Certain special rates, promotional bookings or peak-season reservations may have different cancellation conditions.

Please consult the applicable Cancellation & Refund Policy and the specific booking terms associated with your reservation.

12. Changes to a Reservation

Requests to change a reservation, including changes to:

  • Dates
  • Number of guests
  • Property
  • Arrival or departure time

must be submitted as soon as possible.

Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.

A requested change is not effective until confirmed by CHALET HOLDINGS LTD.

13. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in and check-out times may vary depending on the property.

Guests must follow the check-in and check-out instructions provided for their reservation.

Early check-in or late check-out is not guaranteed and may be subject to availability and additional charges.

Guests may be required to follow specific procedures for returning keys, access devices or other property equipment.

14. Property Rules

Guests must use the chalet responsibly and comply with all applicable property rules.

Unless otherwise authorized, guests must not:

  • Exceed the maximum occupancy
  • Cause excessive noise or disturbance
  • Damage the property
  • Remove furniture or equipment from the property
  • Engage in unlawful activities
  • Create unsafe conditions
  • Violate applicable fire or safety requirements
  • Disturb neighbours or surrounding residents

15. Smoking and Vaping

Smoking and vaping may be prohibited inside certain or all rental properties.

Guests must comply with the smoking and vaping rules applicable to the property.

Any unauthorized smoking or vaping inside a property may result in additional cleaning, restoration or damage charges where permitted under the applicable rental agreement.

16. Pets

Pets are permitted only where expressly authorized for the specific chalet.

Guests must disclose any pets before completing a reservation.

Additional pet fees, restrictions or cleaning requirements may apply.

Unauthorized pets may result in additional charges or cancellation of the reservation in accordance with the applicable rental terms.

17. Fireplaces, Hot Tubs and Other Amenities

Guests must use fireplaces, hot tubs, heating systems, appliances and other amenities responsibly and according to the instructions provided.

Certain amenities may be unavailable temporarily due to maintenance, weather conditions, safety considerations or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Guests must not attempt unauthorized repairs or modifications to property equipment.

Any malfunction or safety concern should be reported promptly.

18. Damage to the Property

Guests are responsible for damage caused by themselves, members of their group, invited visitors or other persons under their responsibility during the rental period.

Guests must notify CHALET HOLDINGS LTD. as soon as reasonably possible if damage or a significant problem occurs.

Guests may be responsible for reasonable repair, replacement or restoration costs resulting from damage caused during their stay, subject to applicable law.

19. Cleanliness and Excessive Cleaning

Guests are expected to leave the chalet in a reasonably clean and orderly condition.

Additional cleaning charges may apply where the condition of the property requires cleaning beyond normal turnover requirements.

Such charges may include, where applicable, removal of excessive waste, stains, unauthorized smoking residue or other abnormal cleaning requirements.

20. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.

CHALET HOLDINGS LTD. is not responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, damaged or left behind, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Guests should secure valuables and ensure that personal belongings are removed when checking out.

21. Maintenance and Repairs

Occasional maintenance issues may occur during a rental stay.

Guests should promptly report significant maintenance or safety problems.

CHALET HOLDINGS LTD. will make reasonable efforts to address reported issues within a reasonable timeframe.

However, certain repairs may require third-party contractors, replacement parts, specialized services or additional time.

22. Circumstances Beyond Our Control

CHALET HOLDINGS LTD. shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, interruptions or inability to provide accommodation resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including, where applicable:

  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Wildfires
  • Flooding
  • Power outages
  • Road closures
  • Government restrictions
  • Public emergencies
  • Utility failures
  • Major technical failures
  • Acts of third parties
  • Other unforeseen circumstances

Where such circumstances affect a reservation, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate with the guest and determine what options may be available under the applicable booking terms and law.

23. Liability

Guests are responsible for their own safety and for the safety of members of their group.

Guests must use reasonable care when using the property, its facilities and surrounding areas.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CHALET HOLDINGS LTD. is not responsible for loss, injury, damage or inconvenience arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control or from a guest’s failure to follow applicable instructions and safety rules.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Although we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information, we do not guarantee that every page, listing, photograph, price or availability indication will always be complete, current or error-free.

Where a specific rental agreement or booking condition conflicts with these general website Terms, the specific rental agreement or booking condition will govern the relevant rental transaction to the extent permitted by law.
